Reposting

I wanted to put this picture of my husband's father back up, because it had gone into the older posts. I love this picture, and I love other old pictures of people's parents and grandparents. there is something special about the old photos that isn't there in our high tech age, don't you think so?

Exciting news

I wanted to tell you about my
exciting news. An Improper Companion,
Anne Herries, has been shortlisted for the RNA romance Prize. It is the first of the Hellfire Trilogy and I am so thrilled. I won the prize in 2004 for A Damnable Rogue, but it is just as pleasing to be nominated again.

It's a lovely day

I just wanted to say that it is a lovely day because I received some very exciting news recently. I can't actually post it yet, but do pop in on Valentine's Day. I am feeling very happy about things at the moment.
My latest Dynasty book for M&B is finished in first draft. That means I have it printed and shall be reading through before doing any revisions next week. After that, I have some personal stuff to catch up on, and some promoting to do. I am going to be posting books for friends as well as myself in the run up to the big day, so do pop in when you can, and let me know what you think in the comments if you feel like it.
Love to you all, Linda

More books for you

Isn't this a great cover. The book is by Randy Jeanne, a friend from America. She writes for Triskelion and her book is a romantic adventure - the story of what happens when Amy Harrington chases off to Mexico, posing as the woman who stole her identity. It sounds like an awful lot of fun, and from what I know of Randy, who says she is terminally single, which is why she writes romance. I think it will be scrumptious. I can't wait to read it when it comes out next month!
Iam glad to say we have lots of squirrels in the garden at the moment. they seem to think it is spring, though I think we shall more some rought weather soon. They have it bad in the USA at the moment and we usually get what they get in UK, though not so extreme.
Love to you all, be back soon with more of my discoveries. Linda
PS. Triskelion now have a book club which sends paperbacks to anywhere in the world, and I think the postage is free if you subscribe for six months.

Busy, busy, busy!

I have been working hard these past few days. I have set up a myspace for my Triskelion friends. I have a book coming out with Triskelion some time this year under the name of Anne Ireland. It is called Too Hot to Handle and I shall do my own publicity on that site, but for the moment I am using it to showcase all my writing friends at Triskelion. I am going to feature June Francis here soon, but today I want to tell you my news. I have had some good reviews for Anne Herries recently, and I was fortunate enough to get in to the top 262 most borrowed authors at the libraries. I have just finished checking proofs for Married By Christmas, which is the second book of a Regency Trilogy and comes out in October. I've also just finished a few revisions for the third in that series - Lord Harcourt's Secret. The first is called Marianne and the Marquis and should be out in August I think. I have sent off various ideas for my new contract and it looks like being another busy year.

Now that Christmas is over I am looking forward to the better weather and perhaps a visit to Spain - that is if my squirrels can spare me. They come regularly again now, which is great because we lost the tame ones last year and that was heart breaking. I hope you are all enjoying the blog and pics. These cheeky chappies are my grown up nephews when they were much younger. Good thing they don't look at the blog! Love from Linda

Back to Work!

All the fuss and celebrations are over and it is back to work. First of all, I have to mention that my squirrel pictures were given to me by a friend, Jen Black. Jen is an author with Triskelion. She has had two full length Historical novels published, the first of them called Banners of Alba. Jen is an excellent writer and I am looking forward to reading her book Shadows from Triskelion, which I have in ebook format. I will tell you about it and maybe post the cover if Jen says it is OK when I've read it. So thank you, Jen for the squirrel pictures, which I thought were so wonderful I had to post them on the blog!

I am now beginning to get back to work and I am writing the second in the Dynasty series, which is coming out first in the USA - mostly because I have so many Regency books coming out this year. A Wealthy Widow is out next month and seems to be selling well on the M&B site, because it is listed in the Best Sellers list - so hopefully it will be a sell out in the shops.

I shall post another personal picture today. I call this one - Who is Laughing at Who?

Love to you all, Linda
